X-Ray Service Engineer - Hertfordshire
Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking a skilled X-Ray Service Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will lead the engineering support activities for the X-ray service teams globally, while providing valuable insights to the NXT design teams. Reporting to the Systems Engineering Director, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our X-ray service department.
Responsibilities:
1. Serve as the key contact for service engineering teams when they encounter challenging issues on customer systems that they cannot resolve.
2. Lead and prioritize the follow-up/management of open issues and queries to high standards.
3. Collaborate with key engineers, pulling in further experts as required.
4. Conduct on-site customer visits to implement fixes.
5. Occasionally provide training to Service Engineers.
6. Provide input for design engineers, promoting Design For Serviceability.
Required:
7. Experience with advanced electro-mechanical systems.
8. Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.
9. Customer-facing experience under tight deadlines.
10. Comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
11. Self-motivated and keen to make a difference.
12. Experience in creating and delivering presentations.
13. Willingness to travel globally.
Desirable:
14. Knowledge of X-ray/vacuum systems.
15. Knowledge of safety and regulatory aspects.
16. Able to read electrical and electronics schematics, and mechanical drawings.
17. Appreciation of software, firmware, and algorithms.
18. Basic CAD skills (SolidWorks).
