Job Description:
We are seeking enthusiastic, adaptable, and reliable Day-to-Day Teaching Assistant to provide high-quality teaching cover across local primary schools. This role would suit somebody who has previous experience working with children of some capacity.
As a supply teaching assistant, you will step into classrooms with little notice and be expected to maintain a positive learning environment, help support pupils whether this is 1:1, in small groups or supporting the class teacher.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
* Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe, positive learning environment
* Follow school policies and procedures, including safeguarding
* Communicate effectively with students, staff, and sometimes parents
* Be punctual, professional, and responsive to last-minute bookings
* Provide feedback to the school’s regular teacher or other supporting staff.
* Ability to adapt quickly to different school environments
* An enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply)
* Reliable transport or willingness to travel between schools.
