We're the organisation that looks after England's most important buildings and monuments, making sure our country's amazing history is available for everyone to enjoy. From world-famous prehistoric sites to grand medieval castles, Roman forts to a Cold War bunker, we bring the history of England to life.
Standing proud in the city it has dominated for nine centuries, Carlisle Castle remained a working fortress until well within living memory. It has withstood many sieges, held captive a royal prisoner, and been home to the King's Own Royal Border Regiment.
We are looking for a site-based Cluster Manager to join our team on a permanent basis, working 36 hours per week. This is an incredible leadership opportunity for someone who is passionate about working in Site Cluster Management, supporting and developing our managers in the day-to-day management at Carlisle Castle, Brougham Castle, Barnard Castle, Stott Park Bobbin Mill, and Furness Abbey.

* Matched pension contributions up to a maximum of 10%
* Flexible hours

As our Carlisle Castle Cluster Manager, you will manage a visitor operation, lead a dispersed team in the delivery of consistent standards, and work through others to generate profit by meeting revenue targets and controlling costs. You will oversee and lead your team of site managers in the day-to-day management of their sites, providing the required support in order that all important financial and compliance targets are achieved, as well as making our sites both an enjoyable and inclusive place to work.
To be a successful Cluster Manager you will need:
* to be an effective communicator with the confidence and ability to represent your sites.
* to be committed to continuous personal development.
* to be able to establish and cultivate effective internal and external stakeholder relationships.
