This small residential, dementia care home is situated in the suburbs of Swindon. The home benefits from having excellent links to shops and local amenities. The home features homely, spacious lounges overlooking beautiful gardens and a secluded courtyard area.
You will be responsible for:
* The Deputy Manager is intrinsic to the success of the Home through effective delivery of providing support to the Home Manager in ensuring all resident and staffing needs are met.
* Responsible for supporting the Home Manager to embed a safe and welcoming environment for residents, their families, employees, and visitors.
* Demonstrate high professional standards and leadership to support the Home Manager in ensuring staffing requirements and needs are met in line with Trust, CQC, and Local Authority standards.
* Provide support to the Home Manager and employees towards the home being rated ‘Good’ or above by CQC.
To be considered for this role of Deputy Manager you will need the following experience:
* Relevant and demonstrable work experience in a nursing/residential care setting.
* Good working knowledge of CQC regulations and relevant legislation, including the Health & Social Care Act 2008, Care Act - Protection of Vulnerable Adults, and Mental Capacity Act.
* Ideally have a minimum of 12-18 months experience of managing staff within a nursing/residential care setting.
Can demonstrate excellent leadership and effective communication skills.
* To be an active and encouraging Manager, establishing and maintaining effective means of communication and good relationships with residents, relatives, and employees in the home.
The role of Deputy Manager is offering £30,000 - £35,000 with an excellent benefits and achievable bonus package; salary range is dependent on candidate experience.
