The lunchtime period is, without doubt, a crucial time in every child’s day at school – do you want to make a difference to every child? We are looking to recruit a proactive, hardworking and organised individual to lead our Lunchtime Provision.
This is an exciting time to join the Ridgeway team; our staff team are supportive of each other, fun, vibrant and dedicated to collaboration. Together, we provide our children with rich, memorable experiences and high quality learning opportunities, within the classroom but also during playtimes and lunchtimes.
Key tasks include:
• Lead, organise and supervise a team of Lunchtime Staff, working in close liaison with OPAL Play Coordinator
• Act as a positive role model, demonstrating high expectations, for all Lunchtime Staff
• Ensure adequate supervision of children in all areas of the school building and grounds
• Communicate effectively and in a timely manner with parents/carers to inform them of any issues that arise over the lunchtime period
• Liaise effectively with other members of the school team, including the Senior Leadership Team
Key qualities:
• Is a good communicator, both verbal and written
• Has the ability to motivate and inspire a team
• Good interpersonal skills – able to deal with a variety of people, including children sensitively, empathetically and when necessary, assertively
• Ability to respond flexibly to changing demands
• Good understanding and effective implementation of safeguarding procedures
• Have a basic understanding of dietary needs and allergens
