About the Role
As a Learner Coach, you will play a key role in mentoring and supporting young learners, helping them unlock their full potential and smoothly transition into the workplace. Jobs Growth Wales Plus (JGW+) is a Welsh Government initiative that provides work experience and training opportunities to young people and unemployed individuals, enhancing their employability and supporting job creation in various sectors.
Your Impact
1. Providing pastoral care and wellbeing support of all learners.
2. Being point of contact for all safeguarding issues.
3. Develop appropriate links and maintain good working relationships with external support organisations.
4. Conducting learner interviews and inductions including, meeting, and greeting all learners, completing, and checking all relevant documentation, delivering structured induction session, and making sure all learners have a clear understanding of the provision and programme.
What Are We Looking For?
Essential
1. Experience working with young people and/or being passionate about making a difference.
2. Good knowledge of safeguarding requirements within youth provisions.
3. Experience and knowledge of working with disengaged youths and challenging behaviour.
4. Willingness to undergo a DBS check (cost covered by the company) and EWC registration.
Desirable
1. Learning Coach L4 Qualification or equivalent (or willing to work towards).
