Purpose of the Role
The Innovations department at Mpac plays a crucial role in solving project-critical problems to bring First Of A Kind products to market. You will be at the forefront of automation, tackling complex challenges and delivering added value to our customers.
Key Accountabilities
* Deliver high-quality work within given constraints.
* Communicate project information effectively to diverse audiences, both internally and externally.
* Establish and manage projects within limited budgets, ensuring timely delivery and meeting target expectations.
* Protect Mpac Lambert's IP and trade secrets at all times.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and implement Proof of Principle (PoP) projects to demonstrate robust process solutions for internal and external customers.
* Collaborate with applications and technical departments to develop innovative solutions for identified technical problems.
* Design, test, and refine processes to meet customer requirements, instilling confidence and maximizing proposal success.
* Develop road maps to manage research and development activities from concept to performance and quality criteria.
* Manage expected timelines, resources, and budgetary requirements to deliver a scope of work successfully.
* Be adaptable and flexible to learn new skills, as needed, to deliver projects or personal development goals.
* Occasionally travel within the UK or worldwide to meet customers or suppliers.
Knowledge & Experience
* Sound understanding of engineering principles.
* Experience in an engineering design or R&D role, preferably in Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, or Clean Energy industries.
* HNC, HND with significant experience aligned to automation or BEng, BSc, MEng in relevant subjects.
* Proficiency in 3D CAD software.
Salary:
£60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
