Description
The Transport Manager role will require the individual to:
* Report to the Head of Transport or equivalent.
* Manage a team of 50+ indirect heads through 4 direct reports.
* Be a CPC holder with O Licence responsibility.
* Manage customer relationships end to end.
* Manage Safety, legal and policy compliance including fleet audit compliance, Ops Ex standards compliance and delivery of a safe operation through the achievement of H&S standards and KPIs.
* Be accountable for people development and performance management within the operation.
* Be commutable to Oxforshire.
Profile
The successful candidate for the Transport Manager role will have the following skills and experiences:
* A Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain background - Essential
* Be Degree educated (or similar) - Advantageous
* Have worked in a FMCG environment previously - Essential
* Been responsible for a fleet of over 100 vehicles - Essential
* Possess a high level of commercial acumen - Essential
* A minimum of 5+ years Logistics experience at an equivalent level previously - Essential.
* Have managed in excess of 100+ employees previously - Essential
* CPC - Essential
* Be a key driver in staff engagement across the board - Essential
* Be commutable to Oxfordshire.
