• Preparing and monitor food production, cooking and presenting high quality dishes for café and event catering.
• Keeping up with industry trends and creating new recipes with the Sous Chef & Commis Chef.
• Creating and reviewing the menu, ensuring that inventory of stock is completed.
• Ensure compliance with applicable health and safety standards within kitchen are achieved.
• Following the budget set by the General Manager, ensuring that menu is costed correctly and minimising waste.
• Ordering food for the kitchen.
• Training and developing staff as instructed by General Manager.
• Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen to FSBB standards.
