Gluing Supervisor / Minder, Carton Packaging - Northants
Impressive & increasingly diversely equipped Print, Packaging & Labelling Solutions business, seek an experienced Gluing Minder/Supervisor as they continue to invest & expand their Litho / UV Carton Printing Services operation.
Based from their Northants HQ, it represents a fabulous opportunity to become an integral part of motivated & skilled converting team, leveraging their recent significant investments in Litho Carton manufacturing capability and achievements in BRC AA grade certification.
As an experienced Gluing Minder, this is an on machine role, managing & supervising the construction of lithographic printed packaging in a variety of formats and on a range of materials, operating an array of gluing machines alongside a highly invested lithographic printing division, including 3 x Brausse Forza and 1 x Bobst gluing machines and a Boomerang folder-gluer.
This is a great opportunity to join a very skilled converting team who have achieved BRCGS grade certification. The Business will provide full training on these models, though carton packaging gluing experience is essential.
Reporting to the Finishing Manager, the Gluing Supervisor role will operate in a fast-paced work environment with high standards, promoting and nurturing excellent teamwork and support.
Responsibilities
1. Operate Brausse / Bobst gluing lines and Boomerang machine as required to construct high quality cartons, sleeves as well as a variety of other packaging types.
2. Organise systems to ensure all jobs for gluing shift are ready.
3. Manage the quality of packaging gluing and construction.
4. Assist in the planning of trials for new packaging projects.
5. Ensure daily schedules are met.
6. Complete documentation for traceability and to maintain their excellent BRCGS grade.
7. Daily maintenance and care of gluing lines and machinery.
Skills & Requirements
1. An excellent team-working ethic.
2. Diligent and attentive to detail.
3. A minimum of 1 year carton gluing experience is essential.
4. A pro-active, problem solving approach.
5. Experience operating Brausse/Bobst Machinery or Boomerang folder gluers is an advantage.
6. Any additional experience in lithographic printing and packaging converting is desirable. Packaging gluing experience is essential, but you will be provided full training on these models.
Operating a Monday to Friday double day shift (6:00am-14:30pm and 13:30pm-22:00pm), it offers an excellent salary and plenty of overtime in a fast-paced work environment with high standards, that promotes excellent teamwork and highly supportive employee culture.
