Your Role as SENCO: Lead the SEND Strategy – Oversee and enhance the school’s SEND provision, ensuring it is aligned with best practices. Work with Teachers – Provide training, advice, and support to teachers to ensure high-quality teaching for SEND students. Create Individual Plans – Develop and monitor Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) and other tailored interventions. Build Relationships – Collaborate with external agencies, parents, and carers to improve student outcomes. Monitor Progress – Use data and assessments to track student progress and adjust interventions as needed. Who We’re Looking For: ✅ SENCO Qualification (or working towards it) – National Award for SEN Coordination is desirable. ✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Experience in teaching SEND students is highly preferred. ✅ Passionate About Inclusion – A commitment to ensuring every student has access to high-quality education. ✅ Strong Leadership Skills – The ability to lead a team and implement school-wide improvements. ✅ Enhanced DBS Check – Or willingness to apply.
