Based near Belfast, our manufacturing client has a new opening for an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join their team. The successful Manufacturing Engineering Manager will be responsible for a small team, recommending improvements for manufacturing engineering processes and methods. You will also support the implementation of new manufacturing technology.
Responsibilities:
1. Drive operational excellence in supporting the manufacturing process, ensuring best in class standards are achieved and upheld.
2. Ensure materials are appropriate for use internally and by a range of third-party manufacturing partners.
3. Manage a team of manufacturing and quality engineers, ensuring they work to plan and align with overall manufacturing priorities.
4. Develop and deliver change management plans to drive improvement in process, systems, technology, and working practices that drive efficiency, quality, and safety outcomes.
5. Manage the development and implementation of operational business plans, in line with overall manufacturing strategy, anticipating complex issues, challenges, and opportunities.
6. Lead and coordinate the development of stakeholder engagement plans.
7. Manage and report on the performance of the business area; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports.
8. Identify the capabilities needed to meet the current and emerging manufacturing engineering business needs. Identify gaps and prioritize development activities.
Criteria:
1. Third level Engineering qualification with a minimum of 4-5 years relevant experience within a Manufacturing environment.
2. Minimum 2-3+ years experience supervising and directing people and other resources to achieve specific end results.
