What you’ll be doing
As one of our Hospitality & Catering Assistants you are a key part of our hospitality team and will play an integral part in ensuring our learning location is clean and tidy for our visitors.
Your day to day will involve working with our housekeeping team to carrying out routine cleaning of our centre. It is important that you have high attention to detail, to be able to recognise areas requiring additional cleaning and where necessary reporting these to your manager.
Our learning centre is always busy, so we need team members that are happy to help wherever required. As part of this role, you could also be asked to help our catering operations.
Tasks may include setting up the dining room for breakfast, lunch, and dinner service, working in the kitchen assisting with food preparation or serving food to our visitors.

Where you’ll be based
The Field Studies Council Millport centre is situated on the Isle of Cumbrae in Scotland. It has state of the art purpose-built conference facilities, twin bedroom ensuite accommodation with sea views, plus 7 teaching spaces comprising classrooms and laboratories.
We host learners of all ages and backgrounds from nursery schools, primary and secondary schools, universities, adults and research placements from all over the world.
