Manthorpe Engineering Limited are seeking an apprentice to develop their career within our Inspection Team. Industries we work for include Defence, Nuclear, Aerospace and Power Generation. Utilising the latest technology we manufacture high integrity machined parts, fabrications and assemblies from a range of materials.

Starting Rate - £8.38 / hr Completion of Year 1 - £9.72 / hr Completion of Year 2 - £11.06 / hr Completion of Year 3 - £12.40 / hr Completion of Apprenticeship - £13.74 / hr minimum

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you’ll do at work
The aim of the apprenticeship program with Manthorpe Engineering is to train people to become skilled Inspectors who can then build a successful career within the company. To achieve this the apprentice will be paired with an experienced Inspector who will ensure their skills and knowledge are developed alongside their college based training. This process will involve on the job training and will include a wide variety of inspection techniques;
Shadowing and working alongside our experienced Inspection team performing tasks as follows;
* Inspection of simple and complex parts and assemblies for the Aerospace, Nuclear and Defence industries
* CMM Inspection, including online and offline programming
* Manual Inspection techniques working to fist principles
* Visual inspection
* Documentation Review
