Role Overview: We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the purchase ledger, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process supplier invoices and credit notes efficiently.
* Reconcile supplier statements and address discrepancies promptly.
* Prepare and process payment runs in accordance with company policies.
* Maintain accurate records of all transactions.
* Collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoice queries.
* Assist in month-end closing activities related to the purchase ledger.
* Process Agency and Labour only invoices and payments.
* Reconcile CIS submissions.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Previous experience in a purchase ledger or similar finance role.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
* Strong numerical and analytical skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
* Effective communication skills for liaising with suppliers and internal teams.
* Previous experience of CIS policies would be advantageous.
