As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving innovative solutions within our client’s defence projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on highly complex, design-to-order projects in a fast-paced environment where technical expertise and strategic problem-solving are paramount. You will be the design authority for both new and existing electrical projects, ensuring their success from concept through to production. Required Skills and Qualifications Extensive experience as an Electrical Design Engineer with a track record in complex defence-related projects. Expertise in designing AC and DC systems, low voltage DC power, communication circuits, and medium voltage AC power systems. Strong knowledge of compliance standards such as IEC 62368, BS EN standards, and Defence Standards (Def-Stan). Proficiency with Solidworks Electrical or similar design software. Experience with ISO 9001 or other process-driven methodologies, as well as EMC, regulatory, CE/UKCA requirements. HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering (Bachelor’s degree preferred). Ability to attain BPSS Security Clearance. Preferred Skills/Qualifications Familiarity with RF design and computing infrastructure. Previous experience leading projects as a design authority and mentoring junior team members. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Familiarity with regulatory environments in the defence sector.
