SENIOR PACKAGING GRAPHIC DESIGNER / ART WORKER
LIVERPOOL - HEAD OFFICE BASED

Our client is a highly successful global Importer and Distributor of homeware products to the multiple high street retailers in the UK and Europe and online sales offering a diverse range of high quality and great value products to an international market. Rapidly expanding with tremendous potential, they are now looking to recruit a SENIOR PACKAGING GRAPHIC DESIGNER & ART WORKER to join their team in their head offices in Liverpool. The role is to assist the Buying team and other team members in the day to day output of the office artwork, as well as manage workload for project work.
Key tasks and responsibilities of the role are:
1. Create original and appealing artworks to suit the brands
2. Coordinate with clients to understand requirements and set realistic schedules
3. Generate innovative briefs, visual strategies, art direction, mood boards and proposals on new projects
4. Assist in update amendments to existing artwork by applying correct pack copy to designs
5. Generate finished print ready instruction manuals
6. Generation of rating plate labels, traceability labels, swing tags
7. Scoop artwork for release to suppliers as and when required to support the team
8. Ensure all files are set up and easily accessible to the rest of the team
9. Aid in the creation of cutter guides as and when required
10. Generate mock-ups and manipulate images as and when required

Oversee design projects from conception to final production, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines and project deadlines.
Develop and execute creative concepts for marketing campaigns, branding, advertisements, social media, packaging, trade shows and other promotional materials.
Lead the graphic design department, ensuring efficient workflow and optimal productivity.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, product development, and sales to align design projects with company goals and strategies.
Maintain an organised and efficient work environment, managing software, and resources.
Provide guidance, feedback, and support to junior designers, fostering growth and development.
Support the development and evolution of the company’s brand portfolio, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints.
Assist with and maintain comprehensive brand guidelines that detail the visual and stylistic elements of the brand.
Collaborate with product development and marketing teams to create packaging that enhances product appeal and customer experience.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and execute comprehensive rebranding strategies.
Monitor competitors and industry leaders to stay ahead of design innovations and best practices.
Build and maintain a network of freelance designers and external agencies to supplement in-house capabilities.
Coordinate project timelines and deliverables with external partners to ensure seamless integration with internal workflows.
Oversee the workflow and scheduling of the photography studio, ensuring efficient use of resources and timely completion of shoots.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Minimum 6 years working experience with graphic and packaging design in FMCG environment
2. Experience with different types of barcodes
3. Excellent use of Photoshop/Adobe Illustrator (Required)
4. Excellent English language skills
5. Some project management work experience
