We are currently looking to recruit a Warehouse & Transport Operative who will assist the Warehouse team with their day-to-day duties and be responsible for managing the planning and delivery of orders to our customers ensuring efficient usage and co-ordination of all the fleet assets at our Oxford Distribution Branch.
What does the role involve?
The Warehouse & Transport Operative is a site-based role split across Transport & Warehouse. Assisting in receiving, storage, counting of stock also picking and loading of stock in the warehouse & yard being efficient, accurate and timely managed. Schedule the distribution of orders using the branch fleet and routing systems considering efficiency, vehicle maintenance & co-ordination with other departments. Be a point of contact for drivers ensuring excellent service to customers & branch while also meeting safety & legal compliance. To maintain a clean and safe working environment and be an asset to the day-to-day activities within the branch. This role would suit a motivated, warehouse or transport operative who is looking to further develop their skillset.
The successful candidate will require:
• Confident using PC/WMS systems
• Experience in transport planning and/or warehouse/stores duties
• Good communication skills
• Self-motivation, being able to prioritise work and meet deadlines
• Attention to detail with processes also be Health & Safety aware
• Counterbalance Forklift Licence (Desired. Can train)
