Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Leader Education is seeking a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a vibrant Primary School in Gateshead. This school provides specialist support for children aged 3 to 11 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Many students benefit from tailored support to address their Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
The school is committed to creating a safe, happy, and engaging learning environment where every child is valued for their individuality. With a team of inspirational staff, the school takes pride in fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all. The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30am until 4pm and is a long-term position.
The successful candidate will:
* Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service or a willingness to obtain one.
* HLTA qualification.
* Previous experience working in a similar role within an educational setting.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Follow personalised curriculums and care plans to meet pupil's requirements.
* Work with pupils on both a 1:1 basis and in group settings, communicating effectively.
* Participate in the planning and implementation of the curriculum through lesson planning and delivery.
* Set up lessons, equipment, and activities within the classrooms.
* Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other teams to create a holistic supportive environment for pupils.
