Job Summary
The Area Building Manager is a key role in our team, responsible for overseeing the management of a portfolio of properties.
This position requires a high level of expertise in building surveying and maintenance, with the ability to manage multiple demands and work effectively under pressure.
We are looking for an experienced professional who can take ownership of property management tasks, including maintenance, statutory inspections, and operational standards.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing a portfolio of properties, focusing on maintenance, statutory inspections, and operational standards;
* Oversseeing all aspects of surveying, maintenance, and compliance, liaising with internal teams and external agencies;
* Taking ownership of property management tasks, ensuring delivery of best value across all projects;
* Maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data in internal systems;
* Reacting proactively to any maintenance issues, providing effective solutions;
Required skills and qualifications include:
* Proven experience in building surveying and maintenance;
* Able to manage multiple demands and work effectively under pressure;
* Experience working in a large, multi-layered organisation (preferable);
* Knowledge of the retail or licensed property sectors (desirable);
* Chartered status with CIOB, CIBSE, or RICS (highly desirable);
The salary for this position is approximately £60,000-£80,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include:
