Food and Beverage Manager
Location: Stourport-on-Severn, DY13 9JA
Salary: £28,500 - £32,500 per annum
Located in the heart of Worcestershire, Stourport Manor Hotel is set in 23 acres of wonderful grounds, featuring 72 bedrooms, a stylish wedding venue, swimming pool, sauna, steam room, spa bath, gym, tennis courts, squash courts, and foot golf.
The Role
We are seeking a Food and Beverage Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Restaurant, Banqueting, and Functions, including Bar areas. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the Hotel's restaurant, ensuring that the right training and standards of service are delivered consistently while maximizing revenue opportunities.
Responsibilities
Key duties:
1. Develop the team through continuous training, communication, and motivation to maximize their potential and the success of the operation.
2. Liaise with the Head Chef and your team to ensure that all agreed standards of food presentation and service are maintained consistently.
3. Maximize opportunities for increasing revenue in the restaurant, bars, and Banqueting.
4. Support F&B operations by ensuring a proactive approach to guest care at all times.
Operational Duties:
1. Liaise with the Operations Manager to ensure adequate staffing levels for scheduled functions.
2. Maintain the restaurant in a clean and tidy state prior to guest arrival.
3. Encourage your team to responsibly look after the Restaurant equipment and ensure regular inventories are organized.
4. Ensure that the Restaurant menus and wine list are up-to-date, liaising with the Operations Manager.
5. Be fully responsible for all restaurant billing procedures while on duty, ensuring all drinks are correctly charged and signed.
6. Complete the end of shift cashing-up procedure accurately and validate all room charges with the correct guest signature.
7. Ensure that Restaurant staff on duty wear the correct uniform and maintain the correct standard.
8. Liaise with housekeeping to ensure adequate linen and stock are maintained.
9. Secure restaurant beverages each evening.
10. Monitor daily revenue and investigate any discrepancies promptly.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Managerial or supervisory experience in the hospitality sector.
2. Strong communication and customer service skills.
3. Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and costs.
