The Final Assembly Line in Yeovil is the ideal place to witness these market-leading aircraft take flight!
We are currently recruiting for multiple Manufacturing Engineers to join the team on our Final Assembly Line.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AS A MANUFACTURING ENGINEER
1. Representing Manufacturing Engineering in assessing the ease of manufacture in Design Reviewing and acting in a liaison capacity between Design and Production.
2. Creating Manufacturing Bills of material (BOM) to define the build of Aircraft.
3. Creation of Delivery Standard Documentation (TSD) to support procurement activity to ensure suppliers have a comprehensive and accurate specification for material requirements.
4. Responsible and accountable for the accurate and timely availability of Work Instructions to support the Master Production Schedule (MPS).
5. Processing design changes and introducing them into the current assembly process.
6. Identification and implementation of improvements to the build process and build logic.
7. Amending work instructions on the Production Line to rectify errors and keep the build line moving.
8. Compiling SAP Production Orders to manufacture or rework components using on-site facilities.
9. Responsible for identification and requesting of Tooling on the Assembly lines.
10. Providing information to support an impact analysis for the efficient introduction of change.
11. Providing estimates of production times to enable accurate capacity planning and cost estimating.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Essential skills:
1. Educated to at least HNC or equivalent in an Engineering discipline and/or a time-served apprenticeship.
2. A knowledge of Mechanical or Electrical Aircraft Systems, depending on own discipline.
3. Some post-training experience desirable.
4. Able to use graphics software (Paintshop Pro).
5. Familiar with the Engineering change process and documentation.
6. Familiar with the use of estimating model spreadsheets as provided by work analysis.
7. Familiar with Lean Manufacturing techniques.
Desirable skills:
1. Working knowledge of CATIA (V4/V5) & ENOVIA.
2. Understand the principles of Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
3. Working knowledge of the process and output of the Configuration Control Board (CCB).
