The vacancy is available at the Highways depot in Hedon or Beverley.
A vacancy has arisen within the in-house Highways Team who delivers the day to day maintenance of the highway and footway networks within the East Riding.
We seek a reliable, hardworking and enthusiastic individual to join our successful team to deliver a range of projects from small scale patching, drainage and footway repairs to county wide paver surfacing and surface dressing operations, together with general highway construction and maintenance works.
The Highways Team have a strong ‘can do’ attitude which is focused on delivering high standards of work to all highway users.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate a proven track record of working in the highway maintenance or construction industry together with a forward-thinking attitude to ensure the service continues to build on its previous successes. A full, clean driving licence is essential, preferably with Category C1 entitlement.
A NRSWA Operative certificate is desirable as is knowledge and experience of Construction Health and Safety legislation in relation to highways works.
You will work a standard 37-hour week Monday to Friday. Additional overtime is worked on a planned basis.
