Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced English and Maths KS3 SEMH Intervention Tutor to join our team in Brentwood, Essex. As a temporary part-time position, you will be responsible for providing targeted support to Key Stage 3 students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in English and Maths subjects.
Job Duties:
* Deliver tailored English and Maths intervention sessions to KS3 students with SEMH needs
* Create engaging lesson plans and educational materials to support individual student progress
* Assess student learning needs and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
* Collaborate with the wider education team to monitor student progress and adjust interventions as required
* Maintain accurate records of student attendance, achievements, and areas for improvement
Required Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
* Demonstrated experience working with students with SEMH needs
* Strong knowledge of the KS3 English and Maths curriculum
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
* Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar teaching role
* Understanding of SEMH interventions and strategies
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
* Additional training in SEMH support
* Experience working in a special educational needs (SEN) environment
Working Conditions:
This role is based in Brentwood, Essex, and will require working part-time hours on a temporary basis. The working environment will involve direct interaction with Key Stage 3 students with SEMH needs.
