We are looking for a Clinical Team Manager to join our Adult Community team based at Haymills House in Stowmarket.
We are looking for a new colleague who is confident to take the lead, has experience of leadership in a mental health environment and is looking to work collaboratively to grow skills and confidence while working with a Recovery model focus.
As the Clinical Team Manager, you will be responsible for the operational management of a range of aspects of service delivery within the team. You will receive regular supervision and support. In addition to mandatory training, there are opportunities for ongoing development as part of the Trust leadership programme.

Main duties of the job
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Management
1. Operational management of a range of aspects of service delivery within the team.
2. Line management of identified staff within the team, to include CPD, performance management, staff appraisals, and relevant HR issues.
3. Proactive recruitment of new staff and maintaining delegated staff wellbeing/retention.
4. Lead the development of effective mental health care pathways within the team.
5. Lead/support service evaluation and audit systems.
6. Participate in the review/development of service-wide policies and protocols.
7. Support the establishment of partnerships and networks with key stakeholders.
Clinical
1. Accountable for own professional actions.
2. Effective personal planning and organisation of daily workload.
3. Flexible working and manage own working time effectively according to service demands.
4. Practice autonomously in making clinical judgements, identifying alternative courses of action.
5. Manage and provide a high quality of care.
6. Maintain respectful, effective professional interpersonal relationships with others.
7. Attend all mandatory training as required by the Trust and undertake further training and updating as required to carry out the role.
8. Initiate, create, and maintain therapeutic relationships with people using services and carers, ensuring that practice is patient-centred.
9. Promote the involvement of people using services and carers in the development of the care pathway.

Person Specification
Qualifications
1. Nursing degree or equivalent, Dip SW or Dip OT or equivalent, or HCPC registered
2. Higher degree or post-graduate certificate in area of clinical/therapeutic practice
3. Post basic teaching qualification
4. ILM certificate in management or equivalent
Experience
1. Able to demonstrate experience at a senior clinical level including staff management/supervision experience.
2. Evidence of providing leadership in a Mental Health care environment including service development.
3. Experience with risk assessment and ongoing management
4. Previous experience of working with Complex case management.
Knowledge
1. Knowledge of medication and the monitoring of its effects.
2. Build on/develop further knowledge of psychosocial interventions
3. Build on/develop further specialist knowledge of health promotion and recovery
Other
1. Ability to travel
