Job summary To be responsible for the co-ordination and organisation of a comprehensive patient centred admission service ensuring continuity in achieving excellence in patient care within local and national time frames. To make decisions which will lead to good booking practice and the provision of an excellent support mechanism for both patients and clinical teams. Support and line manage lower Band members of the Admissions Team to ensure admissions processes are followed and that waiting lists and theatre lists are managed efficiently and effectively. Main duties of the job Manage the Endoscopy Admissions team with support from the endoscopy delivery manager, including managing sickness, annual leave and day to day working. Ensure lists are fully utilised and last minute gaps are identified for the team to book into. Report any capacity issues to the endoscopy delivery manager. Attend meetings with updates around current situations.
