Battle Systems is growing and we need someone to help us keep up! We’re looking for a highly-organised person to come and keep all the plates spinning behind the scenes.
This is a varied role, assisting with tasks across all areas of the business. We need someone who can work efficiently under their own initiative, jumping from administrative tasks to building displays for conventions to chasing up the rest of the team.
We can’t promise that all the work will be exciting, but we try our best to enjoy ourselves while we’re at it! This is a great opportunity to get into a growing business in an up-and-coming industry, and we’re looking for the right person to grow with us.
Responsibilities
1. Website Administration: Add and amend product listings, update pricing, and ensure our library of videos and downloads is up to date.
2. Accounts Administration: Enter and check sales and expenses and compile information for reports.
3. Fulfilment Administration: Upload orders to our various international fulfilment hubs, make amendments, and follow up tracking information.
4. Work with the operations manager to keep track of our workload, checking in with other members of the team and external partners (e.g. manufacturing and freight companies) to ensure we stay on schedule.
5. Keep our trade sales pipeline flowing smoothly by updating order forms with new releases and other changes, and ensuring the retail resource library is up to date.
6. Organise and maintain our extensive digital file library, ensuring the whole team has easy access to the resources they need.
7. Build and maintain our physical studio resource library, assembling our terrain products for use in photography and videos.
8. Work with our marketing and trade sales colleagues to build demonstration and display sets for shows and events, and assist with logistics. You may also be required to attend these events (e.g. UK Games Expo) as part of the Battle Systems team.
9. Review and quality check physical samples of our products and provide feedback for our production partners.
10. Assist with ad-hoc product development tasks such as game testing or proofreading.
About You
Our ideal candidate will:
1. Have exceptional attention to detail – the more pedantic the better!
2. Be proficient with Microsoft Office or similar software, Excel in particular – experience of formulas and data manipulation is important.
3. Be highly-organised and have experience managing a varied workload of detail-oriented tasks with fixed deadlines.
4. Work under their own initiative and with a proactive attitude.
5. Communicate effectively with internal and external colleagues.
6. Be eager to work in a growing business and influence our future prospects.
Interest in or knowledge of the tabletop gaming industry would be useful but is not required.
Location and Working Requirements
This is a full-time role with flexible working arrangements, primarily based in our office in Redditch, UK. There will also be the option to work from home part-time depending on business circumstances and individual performance.
Generally, we expect you to work 37.5 hours per week, 9-5 Monday to Friday, but when you’re not attending the office the exact hours and days are flexible.
From time to time you will be required to work weekends to attend conventions and other events, and you will be given time off in lieu.
This role is available for an immediate start, depending on your current circumstances.
Salary
The base salary for this role is £25,000 – £30,000 p.a. depending on skills and experience. All required equipment will be provided, and expenses paid where appropriate.
We offer 25 days’ paid holiday (plus bank holidays) and a NEST pension scheme.
There will be opportunities for pay increases each year depending on your contribution to the business and the economic climate.
