Job Title : Histology Associate Practitioner Banding: B and 4 Location : Dewsbury, South Yorkshire Start: ASAP Duration: Ongoing Rate : £ 16 - £ 18 - per hour Working hours: Monday – Friday, 37,5hours per week We are seeking a skilled and motivated Band 4 Histology Associate Practitioner to join our client's team in Dewsbury. This role involves providing essential support in the histology laboratory, ensuring accurate and timely processing of tissue samples. The successful candidate will work closely with biomedical scientists and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality diagnostic services. What will your responsibilities be : In this role, the Band 4 Histology Associate Practitioner will be responsible for preparing and processing tissue samples, performing routine histological techniques, and assisting in the maintenance of laboratory equipment. The position requires meticulous attention to detail and adherence to standard operating procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results. The practitioner will also be involved in quality control and assurance activities, contributing to the continuous improvement of laboratory services. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate records of all laboratory activities, participating in internal and external audits, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The practitioner will also support the training and supervision of junior staff and students, fostering a collaborative and educational environment. Qualifications and Experiences: Relevant qualification in biomedical science or a related field Experience in a histology laboratory setting Knowledge of histological techniques and procedures Strong organisational and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) Commitment to maintaining high standards of laboratory practice How to apply?
