Due to recently winning a number of large, prestigious new contracts, there is a need to rapidly expand the team of Hardware Engineers. The successful candidate will need to have experience of working at a \single LRU or box\ level, within the aviation industry or similar safety critical sector, as well as a demonstrable ability to identify solutions to engineering problems using analysis and evidence to draw conclusions and make recommendations.Key skills required include:Electronic hardware design with...oDesign of micro - processor circuitryoDesign of digital interface circuitry such as DDR2/DDR3/SPI/I2C/MIPIoDesign of analogue circuitry eg amplifiers, filters and signal samplingoDesign for EMC and/or lightning protectionoLow voltage power supply and/or power switching techniquesoAbility to drive and manage PCB layout through sub - contractoExperience of keeping engineering documentation up to date and under configuration control.Tasks/responsibilities include: To interpret system requirements into clear unambiguous hardware design requirements and to rationalise Hardware Development Plans to identify workflow Documenting design activities, ensuring traceability of design to requirements, whilst also ensuring adherence to relevant project, company or regulatory standards To design, analyse, commission and verify analogue and digital circuits in accordance with defined requirements specifications including cost and reliability targets.Please note that due to the nature of the projects, the successful candidate must be capable of passing the relevant security checks as required, and able to work in the UK without restrictions.
