My client, a main developer, is looking for a Senior Site Manager for a new scheme in Littleport, near Ely, Cambridgeshire. The ideal candidate will have worked as a SM on traditional build housing schemes/high volume and has experience of taking units from groundworks to handovers with experience of NHBC PIJ.
The scheme is a longstanding, flagship scheme consisting of multiple phases of approx 125 units, all traditional build homes, with a mix of private sale and HA.
Duties
1. No1 on site, reporting to the Contract Manager.
2. Responsible for the company's first timber frame flagship scheme.
3. Working with a full team including an ASM or a Trainee.
4. Chair sub-subcontractor meetings.
5. Ensuring the development is completed in accordance with specification and the build programme.
6. RAMS.
7. Full understanding of H&S and ensuring it's adhered to.
8. Snagging of sub-contractor work.
9. Calls off/Materials.
10. Providing accurate and regular reports on progress and dates.
11. NHBC stage inspections.
12. Controlling additional costs for non-productive costs and prelim expenditure.
13. Driving through quality at every stage of the construction process.
14. Ensuring the development passes internal and external inspection processes.
15. Taking responsibility for self-development and the development of others.
16. Monitoring and controlling the quality of production and approve stage completions to payments to subcontractors.
17. Completions, CMLS, Handovers.
Qualifications
1. No1 experience on traditional build schemes.
2. Able to manage a fast-paced busy site.
3. Able to train and manage any staff who report to you.
4. New build, residential experience.
5. CSCS, Black.
6. First Aid, Scaffold awareness.
