In this role, you’ll support the payroll team in processing accurate and timely payrolls, learning every step of the payroll process and building the skills needed to succeed in a dynamic environment.
This is also a hybrid position with the opportunity to work at home some of the time.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the payroll team in processing multiple payrolls, including year-end procedures.
* Calculate and process employee wages, overtime, absences, and deductions for smaller group payrolls with precision.
* Support the administration of employee benefits through the payroll system.
* Upload and reconcile pension contributions.
* Prepare and distribute payroll reports for stakeholders.
* Handle employee queries regarding pay and escalate complex issues when necessary.
* Process statutory payments such as Statutory Sick Pay, Statutory Maternity Pay, PAYE, and National Insurance.
* Ensure data protection compliance according to GDPR and the Data Protection Act.
* Record data accurately in Payroll and HR software.
* Maintain adherence to payroll legislation and company policies.
* Assist with internal and external payroll audits.
* Support any additional duties as required by the payroll team.
