We’re on the hunt for someone who can make sure our network of services in Stagecoach West Scotland delivers what it needs from a customer, colleague and community perspective. And before you ask you don’t need to work in the transport industry already (although we’re not put off if you do) Working together as part of our amazing Commercial Team and based in Ayr, you’ll hold a hugely important and wide-reaching role which will definitely keep you on your toes: You’ll work with internal stakeholders across our business to identify opportunities to improve our network, using data from numerous sources. It’s then still with you to develop appropriate solutions to these opportunities, producing effective service timetables specifically across Stagecoach West Scotland. There’s plenty of responsibility – making sure our customers, colleagues and stakeholders have accurate information on our services is no mean feat, notwithstanding the input you’ll have into contract bids and exciting project work. You’ll be at the heart of contributing to meaningful change in our West Scotland business. Speaking of our West Scotland business, we operate 300 vehicles from depots in Ardrossan, Arran, Ayr, Cumbernauld, Dumfries, Kilmarnock and Stranraer. Our colleagues in West Scotland are warm, friendly and hugely experienced, and thus you won’t have to look far for support in your new role. And as it’s a really important role in our business, there are a couple of things we’ll need from you… You’ll definitely need to be highly proficient in Excel, and indeed in interpreting statistical data. Strong communication skills are a must – you’ll be developing interpersonal relationships both internally and externally, and will need to be able to engage with everyone. And finally you’ll be comfortable working to deadlines, combining your strong organisational ability and excellent attention to detail to deliver a brilliant outcome for all.
