Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences? Birmingham Museums Trust is seeking a Retail Sales Assistant to join our dynamic retail team! Working across our sites, with a primary focus at BMAG and Thinktank, you’ll play a vital role in creating a world-class shopping experience for our visitors.
As part of our team, you’ll contribute to a profitable and inspiring retail environment, helping to meet sales targets and enhancing the visitor experience for over a million guests each year. With a strong focus on customer service, you'll support the daily operations at your designated site, while also stepping in across our other museum stores as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive sales and achieve targets, ensuring our retail operations are efficient and competitive.
* Deliver outstanding customer service, assisting visitors with their purchases and queries.
* Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and ensure compliance with safety and food storage regulations.
* Confidently use EPOS and IT systems to ensure smooth operations.
* Participate in stock management and daily banking, and support product changes to keep our offers fresh.
Requirements:
* A passion for customer service and experience in a retail or similar setting.
* Flexibility to work weekends and evenings, especially during major events.

Interviews will be taking place in person, provisionally on 27th November 2024 with Adam Keegan (Head of Enterprise) and Noor Miah (Food & Beverage Manager). In advance of the interview, you will receive a copy of the interview questions to prepare, and you will have an opportunity to express any reasonable adjustments you might need.
