As an integral member of the Engineering Team, you will ensure the best performance and dependability of Manufacturing equipment, contributing to both safety and efficiency across all site assets.
Job Title: Maintenance Engineer
Location: Harrogate
Salary: 48,000 Rising to 50,000 after probation
Shifts: Shift pattern is a rotating two week pattern (2 weeks of days, 2 weeks night) with two weekends off in four.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Fault finding, repairs and maintenance on high speed, automated machinery
* Undertaking planned and reactive maintenance on a range of specialist and high-tech equipment (predominantly Krones)
* Ensuring all engineering procedures are adhered to including Health & Safety, Quality, hygiene and general housekeeping
* Observing, recognising and reporting on machinery and component defects or systems of impending failure, escalating problems if necessary to the EU&F Manager
* Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on major issues, ensuring lessons learned and communicated to the wider team
* Highlighting opportunities for improvements in the maintenance plan and/or failure of components
* Working in partnership with the Production Department, ensuring the equipment is operated in the defined manner in accordance with SOPs to produce products to specification.
* Contributing to continuously improving operational efficiency.
It would be highly advantageous to have experience within Food Process Machinery/FMCG
You will be educated to ONC/NVQ in an Engineering related discipline and will have previous experience of Installations and testing. An understanding of Site Services covering Compressors, Boilers and Electrical distribution with the ability to replace/ set up Invertors and Controllers
You will have the ability to adhere to tight deadlines and take direction and challenge in a professional manner along with proven experience of planned maintenance systems, breakdown maintenance and installations.
