6+ PQE - Commercial Lawyer
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an exceptional 6-8 PQE commercial lawyer to join Arsenal’s in-house legal team.
Arsenal is one of the leading clubs in world football with a strong heritage of football success, progressive thinking, and financial stability. In this critical role, you will help deliver the Club’s ambitious Commercial and Operational strategies, assisting in particular with innovative projects underpinned by modern technologies and digital solutions.
As a senior member of this first-rate legal team, you will manage and advise on a wide variety of complex commercial matters and legal documentation across the Commercial and Operations functions, such as event and stadium use agreements, major supply agreements, technology services agreements, and consumer T&Cs, as well as supporting the DPO on data protection compliance across the Club. You will also work closely with senior stakeholders to provide day-to-day legal and commercial advice associated with business operations and business strategy.
To succeed in this role, you should have a strong academic record and first-class training with proven drafting and negotiation skills, with experience in technology law and data protection matters. You must also be able to build and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with a range of stakeholders and have the appetite to work across a range of legal disciplines in what is a busy and fast-paced environment.
Experience in the sports or media sector, whilst not a requirement, would be an advantage.
In return, we are offering the successful candidate the opportunity to further their career within a world-renowned brand as part of a highly regarded team advising on high-profile, cutting-edge deals, and an opportunity to support the Club’s continual growth and development.
Arsenal believes that diversity of background, skills, and experience drives our success on and off the pitch. We encourage applications from women, disabled, and black, Asian, and mixed-heritage candidates. We are committed to the principle of equal opportunity for applicants and employees and aim to appoint on merit from a diverse talent pool.
