Assistant Commercial Manager
The Corporate Pensions team is made up of subject matter experts with extensive knowledge of M&G’s insured propositions and a deep understanding of the legislative, regulatory and tax framework within which the products are operated. The Assistant Commercial Manager role plays an important part in supporting our business through propositional and regulatory change, ongoing compliance and product development.
The Corporate Pensions team at M&G is a busy team with multiple products and clients of all sizes and will give the opportunity for development and growth.
Key Responsibilities for this role:
1. To support the review, development and maintenance of existing PAC insured propositions under the direction of a Commercial Manager
2. To provide analysis and interpretation of key data points (financial and non-financial) relating to the performance of specific products, funds or projects
3. To interpret and research regulatory and legal documentation that may affect our customers, clients and the business and make recommendations to the business
4. Work with the wider business to co-ordinate the management of end to end delivery and proposition experience (e.g. product, service, distribution etc.) to ensure annual expectations are met
5. Identify opportunities for improvement to existing products / propositions and position these with the relevant Commercial Manager for review
6. To support the requirements of the Independent Governance Committee (IGC) and Prudential Corporate Pensions Trustee Limited (PCPTL) as directed by management
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
1. We are looking for a talented professional from the life and pension industry with a proven life and pensions product and technical background
2. A confident communicator, with strong business analysis and problem solving skills
3. Capable of influencing at a senior level and the ability to communicate complex issues in a straightforward way is highly desirable
4. Excellent planning and organisational skills – able to work well under pressure, balancing multiple priorities
5. Ability to deal with a wide range of business stakeholders at all levels within and outside the organisation. This is a collaborative role, working with various teams across the business as well as outsourced service providers and other third parties
