Experienced Production Operators required to work for large manufacturing company at their site based in Plymouth. As part of the production team, the successful candidates will As part of the Production team, the Production Operator will be required to carry out tasks and operations as trained, in order to process, produce and pack a wide variety of products to the required quality standards as described by the relevant work specifications. This is an exciting opportunity to join a manufacturing on an on-going temporary basis. Key Responsibilities: Set and operate manufacturing equipment and processes in line with works orders and specifications to produce a variety of products in an efficient and safe manner. Carry out manual operations: weighing, packing, expanding, trimming, reeling, cutting etc. as necessary to process products. Perform in process product inspection tests and checks, in line with work specs and manufacturing requirements, stamp documentation as appropriate. Complete crate cards, works orders and all associated production documentation to required standards. Print and produce labels in accordance with work specs and customer requirements. Carry out machine and equipment checks with due regard for health and safety. Identify process or product issues, rectify if possible, or report them immediately to line management. Contribute and participate in process improvement projects. Support 5s project, maintaining a clean and organised work area and site overall. Train as a first aider or fire warden if required by the business. Develop skills across production to promote flexibility within the business as required. When skilled, train other employees as requested. Provide adhoc supports within the business towards ensuring company objectives are achieved. Achieve up to 2 skills points. Experience, Qualifications and Candidate Attributes Required: Previous experience working as a Production Operator working within an Engineering or Manufacturing environment. A positive, can do and reliable attitude coupled with a strong work ethic. The successful candidate will be working a weekly alternating shift comprising of Monday Friday 06:00am to 14:00pm and Monday to Friday 14:00pm to 22:00pm. The salary advertised is inclusive of the shift premium for the alternating shift.
