The Lipids Service at Heartlands Hospital is looking to recruit a Senior Medical Secretary/PA on a permanent, 30-hours per week basis. As part of the Secretarial team, you will be a reliable and committed candidate who will help ensure we are continually adhering to our Trust values of Kind, Connected, and Bold. Working closely with the Department Consultants, Nursing and Operational Team, you as a key member will have a direct and positive impact on how we care for our patients within the hospital. Main duties, tasks & skills required Your responsibilities will include report writing, drafting of letters, and replying to correspondence. In addition, you will monitor waiting lists and schedule clinic appointments using our in-house systems - to which full training will be provided. Ideally, you've worked within a similar capacity, with experience in providing all-round secretarial services. As a key member of this team, you will see a varied workload, which can be challenging - however, being able to multitask in an efficient manner whilst maintaining a caring and helpful attitude underpins everything you do - to make a difference to your team and the patients that rely on us to care for them. You'll have excellent communication and organisational skills and be confident to make judgements unaided. You will be able to work proactively to problem solve and work on your own initiative.
