About the Role: As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people with additional learning needs, including autism. You will work closely with the teaching staff to provide tailored support, helping students to achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with SEN.
Provide one-on-one support to students, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Adapt learning materials to meet the needs of students with varying abilities.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support students' learning and development.
Monitor and record students' progress and provide regular feedback.
Requirements:
Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs is highly desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A relevant qualification in education or a related field is advantageous.
