Job Title: Social Media Executive Reporting to: Senior Marketing Manager Department: Marketing The Social Media Executive works in conjunction with the wider marketing team to implement the overarching social media marketing plan for each event, creating engaging content, driving interest & entries into events and looking at return on investment from all promotional campaigns. They will have a key focus on Social Media management, implementation, community engagement, producing engaging content and growth. The Social Media Executive will take accountability for the key tasks identified below; Key responsibilities: · Work with Senior Marketing Manager to develop and implement the social media channel strategy, with the primary focus on social media growth, engagement, community management and building a presence on new social channels such as TikTok. · Implementation lead for Great Run, Great Swim, Beyond Trails and 13 Valleys Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter, Strava, YouTube & Tik Tok channels – planning, copywriting, scheduling, and monitoring as required. · Implementing social tactics to increase growth, jumping on reactive social trends, and being proactive with social content to drive engagement. · Creating engaging static and video content as per defined schedule, and generating ideas for new content with marketing team. · Owner of social media graphic design content – brief artwork into designer, supply and coordinate assets as per the defined team schedule. · Liaising and engaging with community running groups, influencers and celebrities and developing social collaborations across social media platforms. · Supporting and implementing key social media partnerships and collaborations with key stakeholders. · Supporting with the event day marketing function on event weekends – ensuring the content captured & posted across social channels amplifies the event to a wide audience. · Support with the compilation of monthly, mid-year and end-of-year organic social media reports, with a focus on growth and engagement performance analysis. · Support with social trend and competitor analysis across industry, community and general social media landscape. · Maintaining the key dates and themes calendar, and liaising with wider marketing team to align social media announcements and campaigns with all digital channels. We are looking for: Ideally you will have a degree in Marketing (or similar), at least 2 years’ experience in a social media marketing role, good attention to detail and creativity. The role will be focus on social media marketing, growth, engagement and community management and will support with planning, analysis, reporting and implementation across all social platforms. We are looking for someone with experience of: Working with a variety of social media channels, live posting, social video and graphic editing tools such as CapCut and Canva, social media scheduling tools, Google Analytics and social performance analytics, coordinating fast-turnaround activity and working closely with various departments and teams.
