Take active responsibility for personal development reviews with their Line Manager. Attend any courses or training events appropriate to Estates Facilities & PFI and the post holder's development. Learn how to deploy a team of Estates Facilities & PFI Drivers, prioritise urgent requests and draw up weekly staff rotas. Learn to do spot checks for employees and vehicles. Monitor and report faults on vehicles and equipment ensuring corrective action. Responsible for the Safe use of vehicles and equipment, carrying out regular checks on usage and availability Maintaining stock control of all vehicles, equipment and uniforms Authorise excess and overtime hours Record staff sickness and attendance authorise absences for annual leave, change shift/rota patterns on the time management system. Refer any other absences to their line manager. Deal with frequent interruptions with unexpected occurrences e.g., staff shortages, vehicle breakdowns, infection breakouts and emergencies. During other incidents e.g. Roaf Traffic Incidents, police liaison may be required. Use of tools, equipment, filliong of vehicles with Ad-Blue, oil washing fluids etc. Assist patients, staff general public, with any enquires around transport. Implements departmental policies and SOPs and proposes changes to working practices. Comments on changes to policies in own sphere of work. Assembling, dismantling, or ensuring safe use of equipment. Supervision of stock purchases, timesheets (KRONOS or alternative system); Responsible for day-to-day supervision or co-ordination of staff; regularly responsible for providing training in own discipline, or practical training, or undertake basic workplace assessments. Supports induction of new starters/Supervises staff, trains new staff and trainees in own work area, ensuring completion of mandatory training. Undertakes workplace assessments and appraisals and sickness management and absence processes. Completes timesheets and/or similar records of information e.g. Vehicle checks. Responsible for storage of data/Responsible for taking and transcribing minutes. Completes incident forms/daily occurrence book/ Datix's as necessary. Ensure adequate information gathered to review incidents and complete the DATIX reports. Undertake surveys or audits, as necessary to own work. Take a leading role in developing and monitoring effective service provision and work practices. Provide/ coordinate qualified cover as necessary in the absence of the Management in terms of staffing recourse to meet operational requirements.
