Ramsbottom Group Practice is a training practice based in the centre of Ramsbottom serving a practice population of approximately 8,300 patients.
We are a friendly team consisting of 3 Partners, 2 salaried GPs, a nursing team, along with our admin and reception team.
We are looking to employ an Operations Assistant.
To assist the Practice Manager in all facets of practice operations, including the back office and reception team, with a focus on motivating and managing staff, enhancing efficiency, and improving overall performance. This role is essential in ensuring that the practice meets its long-term strategic objectives within a safe and effective working environment.
Main duties of the job
This post is 20 hours per week.
1. Supporting the Practice Manager in the day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring staff achieve their primary responsibilities.
2. Support the operation of the Admin team at the back office.
3. Implementing systems to ensure compliance with CQC regulations and standards.
4. Evaluating, organising and overseeing the staff induction programme.
5. Support the Practice Manager in implementing and embedding an effective practice and staff development plan for all staff (clinical and administrative) whilst maintaining a robust training record.
6. Support the Practice Manager in implementing effective systems for the resolution of disciplinary and grievance issues, maintaining an overview of staff welfare.
7. Actively encouraging and promoting the use of patient online services.
8. Updating and acting as the focal point for the practice website and social media sites.
9. Guiding staff and developing searches and audits on the clinical system, with support from our Data Quality Lead.
10. Reviewing and updating clinical templates ensuring they relate to current practice.
11. Support the Practice Manager in marketing the practice appropriately to ensure patient population is stable or increasing.
12. Work alongside the Data Quality Lead in guiding the team to reach QOF targets.
13. Managing DNAs, providing data and planning tools coupled with liaison with referred repeat offenders.
