We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Mental Health Nurse post within our North Manchester Specialist Community Mental Health Teams based in our exciting new and modern base at the Central Park Hub.
We are looking for a dynamic individual with strong clinical skills who is enthusiastic and motivated to support our Specialist CMHTs with the aim of delivering safe, effective and high-quality services to our service users.
The successful candidate will be an experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse who will relish working within the vibrant and challenging environment of Manchester. They will be an autonomous practitioner who is able to work within an established MDT. They will have a level of expertise in this area and have a key role in the assessment and treatment for patients accessing a service within the SCMHT.

The core hours are Monday to Friday 9-5, although some flexibility will be considered.
Main duties of the job
To support individuals referred to secondary mental health services for assessment or ongoing care. To demonstrate the Trust values of inspiring hope, working together, to be caring and compassionate, to value and respect others/ourselves and to be open and honest.
As a qualified Nurse you will demonstrate and live the NMC values as identified in the Code of Practice.
Your post will include working with individuals using research-based interventions to promote their independence and recovery whilst maintaining high-quality clinical documentation.
This includes respecting individuality, values, cultures and religious diversity of clients and colleagues and thus contributing to the provision of a service sensitive to these needs.
Job responsibilities
1. To promote Positive Mental and Physical Health to individuals under the care of the service in all situations.
2. To ensure and support individuals to collaborate in the development of their recovery plans and structured care plans and treatment.
3. To assess, plan and review in line with requirements of the Care Act (2014) and s117 of the Mental Health Act (1983).
4. To provide clinical supervision to members of the multi-disciplinary team based on your clinical and professional knowledge.
5. To supervise junior members of staff in their clinical risk assessment and formulation of crisis and risk planning.
6. To promote recovery-focused care and interventions for individuals.
7. To ensure that all interactions and documentation is person-centred following the NHS guidance No decision about me, without me.
8. To co-produce individualised recovery plans with the individuals, carer or others identified by the Service User.
9. To promote and maintain a learning culture within the team which supports the professional and effectiveness of clinical care.
10. To contribute to the delivery of multidisciplinary training including the induction of new staff, students and trainees.
11. To always promote awareness of and respect for equality, diversity and dignity in care and work in line with Trust, NMC and professional standards.
12. To demonstrate a high level of active communication skills with individuals and also in a variety of forums and situations.
13. To utilise your highly developed interpersonal skills to facilitate effective communication.
14. To provide specialist Mental Health Nursing interventions in the assessment, support and recovery of individuals with severe mental health difficulties.
15. To ensure that all individuals have clear and accurate information regarding their care or the care of their loved ones.
16. To seek out and participate in line management and clinical supervision.
17. To maintain high standards of clinical recording ensuring that information is always accurate, appropriate and up to date.

* Professional Qualification in Mental Health nursing RMN, RM Part 13 or equivalent.
