We specialize in designing and manufacturing a wide range of products, utilizing various manufacturing processes, such as CNC and Pressings.
As our Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for independently managing assigned projects, ensuring their effectiveness beyond completion. These projects will primarily focus on continuous improvement efforts on the shop floor, employing appropriate tools and methodologies to drive impactful results. The role involves close collaboration with design, manufacturing, and quality engineering teams to successfully introduce new products, troubleshoot production issues, and implement effective solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Support New Product Introduction (NPI): Assist in the successful launch of new products, ensuring smooth transitions from design to production.
2. Handle the ordering and monitoring of tooling, ensuring availability and readiness for production.
3. Tool Trials and Approvals.
4. Create and maintain flow diagrams for product routes, ensuring accurate documentation of processes.
5. Develop and implement control plans for production parts, ensuring consistent quality.
6. Train operators on new methods, tooling, and fixtures, particularly for the introduction of new products.
7. Obtain and review budgetary quotes for tooling and equipment to ensure cost-effectiveness.
8. Lead and participate in lean manufacturing initiatives, such as SMED, 5S, and other continuous improvement projects.
9. Design for Manufacturing/Assembly (DFM/DFA): Collaborate with the design team to apply best practices for manufacturability and assembly during the design process.
10. Lead or support projects aimed at reducing production costs without compromising quality.
11. Implement changes to methods or tooling as needed to support product improvements or customer requirements.
12. Participate in Six Sigma projects to improve process efficiency and reduce variability.

REQUIREMENTS
1. Relevant Manufacturing Engineering experience.
2. Evidence of successful implementation of continuous improvement projects.
3. Supporting Engineering Qualifications are welcomed but equivalent experience is happily considered.
4. Exposure to tooling, SMED.
