Job title: Engineering Manager – Combat Systems Integration
Location: Barrow
Salary: From £56,000 dependant on experience
What you’ll be doing:
* Management of multi-disciplined engineering team and leadership of engineering resources
* Delivering the Combat System design, requirements, and packages of upgrades in line with the Astute programme
* Delivery of projects to meet customer and contractual obligations for cost, quality, timeliness and specification
* Resolution of Build, Test and Engineering issues and defects throughout the programme
* Overseeing the physical installation of Combat Systems equipment
* Undertake installation inspections as a representation of the technical authority
* Manage all SHE requirements of the engineers
* Ensure design intent is met for all of the systems within the boundary of Combat Systems
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
* HNC/HND or Degree within an Engineering discipline (preferably electrical bias)
* Previous experience working with a testing/field engineering position
* Knowledge of Engineering lifecycle management (working knowledge of requirements and managing these)
Desirable:
* Previous work experience in Combat Systems

The Combat Systems Integration Team:
The team oversees the installation, test and commissioning of the Combat System on the build programmes. Managing a team of engineers that primarily work on external communications, underwater sensors and the core combat System. This is a rewarding role seeing the Submarine right through the commission face through to hand over to the customer; it’s the end of the lifecycle.
