Process Chemist (12 month contract)
About the role:
NES Fircroft are working with a crop protection solutions client, offering a Process Chemist placement (contract role) to work within its Process Studies Group. This role will rely on applying fundamental understanding of organic and physical chemistry to develop and improve chemical processes for new and existing crop protection products.
As a Process Chemist in physical organic chemistry, you will work in a cross-disciplinary team with a significant degree of autonomy, designing and implementing experiments aiming to understand and further improve complex chemical processes. The role will involve the gathering and interpretation of quantitative chemical information and applying creative solutions to build fundamental understanding and solve chemical process problems.
What are we looking for?
1. A degree (Master’s or PhD) in chemical sciences, with expertise in organic and/or physical chemistry as essential.
2. Comprehensive laboratory experience in chemical analysis.
3. Experience or interest in quantitative data analysis.
4. You should be driven by solving complex technical challenges with an ability and desire to create innovative, sustainable process solutions.
5. As part of a global community, you will have excellent communication and team-working skills.
6. A commitment to HS&E, and the wellbeing of self and others.
