A global specialist in the design and manufacture of high-temperature metal seals for aerospace, automotive and power generation sectors are seeking a Quality Technician to join their team to drive the next phase of development and growth.
As Quality Technician, you will ensure existing and new products and processes comply with Customer, ISO/AS/IATF and NADCAP standards, liaise with internal and external stakeholders and help drive the development of quality systems and processes in a high-compliance engineering and production environment. You will need to be hands-on, technical, detail oriented and a great team-worker.
Role:
Ensure product and process compliance and customer engagement
Maintain, develop, audit and champion the Quality Management System and processes
Liaise with Customers, Auditors and other relevant stakeholders
Support the quality strategy and staff development, support production, engineering and sales functions
To be successful in this role as Quality Technician, you will have proven skills and experience in the following:
Working to a high standard within quality teams
Ensuring quality requirements in high compliance production environments
Have time served in a similar role or hold a relevant qualification
To be considered for the role you should ideally have:
Experience in SME batch production of precision metal products, preferably within a highly regulated industry (aerospace, automotive, power gen, sub-sea and / or medical)
Supported Quality Management Systems e.g. ISO9001, AS9100, IATF (experience of NADCAP, ITAR and supporting supplier audits would be desirable)
Experience in dimensional measurements, capability studies and in-process SPC
Knowledge of new product and process qualification and validation
Completed FAIRs and PPAPs
Experience in developing FMEAs, Control Plans and Standard Operating Procedures
A collaborative approach and be a good team player
