Quality Assurance Team Lead

POSITION:
Manage the Quality Assurance team to ensure that all Gladstone products and deliverables are tested and documented to agreed time scales and levels of quality. The role owns quality processes and strategy, working collaboratively with the team and other stakeholders to implement improvements using new technology, frameworks, and working practices. Quality success is driven by data and measures; this role is key to setting appropriate success criteria and taking timely action to provide confidence to the business.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Be an active member of a Scrum Team as a QA
* Promote a quality-focused culture in the development team and the wider business
* Work to develop and train team members in innovative processes, technology, and mindset
* Facilitate a risk management function within the development team
* Monitor work to ensure that it is completed to the agreed time scales and to company standards
* Attend the Product strategy meetings to establish quality and time parameters for products
* Set and maintain company QA standards
* Regularly review/audit test collateral to ensure that there is appropriate functionality coverage and coding standards are being met
* Manage the day-to-day relationship with Gladstone's development partner(s)
* Appraise team members on a regular basis, to company guidelines
* Motivate and discipline team members ensuring good morale and motivation within the team
* Attend monthly Development department management meetings
* Work with the Support and Development functions to ensure the timely resolution of support calls
* Take responsibility for management and maintenance of test environment kit
* Build strong customer relationships by positive and timely communication and visiting sites when necessary
* Ensure that all relevant documentation is up-to-date and filed in the standard department location
* Assist with recruitment of new team members when required.

* Highly organized, with attention to detail, producing highly accurate work

* Able to formalize a practical quality strategy and get buy-in from senior stakeholders.
