An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Teaching and Enhanced Learning Coach to join our Quality and Enhanced Learning team reporting to our Group Head of Teaching, Learning & Quality. As a Teaching and Enhanced Learning Coach with Stockton Riverside College, you will be responsible for supporting in the delivery of teaching and learning bootcamps, coaching staff before and after walkthroughs, and contributing to the management of Teaching, Learning, and Assessment (TLA) support plans. Working closely with teachers, you will help develop and implement innovative teaching methodologies through a collaborative coaching model. You will also partner with the Group Head of Quality, Teaching and Learning, and curriculum managers to embed best practices aligned with Ofsted’s Education Inspection Framework, ensuring high-quality education standards across the Group.
Your responsibilities will include conducting regular drop-ins and walkthroughs, providing constructive feedback to enhance instructional practices, and celebrating successes by capturing and sharing best practices across the Group. You will play a key role in promoting the use of innovative teaching methods, particularly in relation to Subcontractor, bootcamp, and apprenticeship delivery. Additionally, you will stay up to date with developments in teaching, learning, and assessment strategies, advising on their implementation to drive continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will possess coaching and mentoring skills, with the ability to provide constructive feedback and support staff development in teaching and learning. They will be experienced in collaborating with educators to implement innovative teaching methodologies and ensure high standards of instructional practice. The candidate will have a solid understanding of the Education Inspection Framework and a track record of embedding best practices in line with Ofsted standards. Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities are essential for working with curriculum managers, subcontract partners, and other stakeholders. Additionally, the candidate will be proactive in staying updated on developments in teaching and learning strategies, with a focus on driving continuous improvement and creating a culture of excellence across the Group.
