Salary: £13.92 per hour (plus £75 per sleep-in shift)
Hours: Full-time, with 6 to 10 sleep-in shifts per month

Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Support Worker to join our client's team in Northampton. This role requires a dedicated and professional individual who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people in care. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a Children’s Residential Home and possess a strong understanding of Ofsted regulations.
As a Senior Support Worker, you will oversee the care of children and young people, providing high-quality support while ensuring compliance with all regulations. You will take on leadership responsibilities, supervising junior staff, and leading by example.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide day-to-day care for children and young people within the residential home, ensuring their emotional, social, and physical needs are met.
* Lead and manage the team of support workers, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of care are maintained.
* Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and assist with inspections and audits.
* Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with the team, families, and other professionals.
* Act as a role model for junior staff, ensuring best practices are followed at all times.
* Manage and assist with the administrative duties associated with care provision, including documentation and reporting.
* Be actively involved in staff supervision, training, and development.
* Provide emotional support to children and young people, promoting positive behavior and mental wellbeing.
* Participate in sleep-in shifts, with 6-10 sleep-ins expected per month (seniors are given priority for these shifts).
Essential Criteria:
* Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
* At least 1 year of experience working in a Children’s Residential Home.
* In-depth knowledge and experience of working with Ofsted regulations.
* Full, clean driving license.
* Experience of managing or supervising junior staff in a care setting.
* A full DBS check in place.
Desirable Criteria:
* Experience in working with children with learning disabilities (not required for the role but may be advantageous).
